Your leadership gift needed now

$2.75 million needed in private donations to complete project

Due to an extraordinary partnership of donors, the State of Louisiana, and a host of University players, the Tiger Band is marching steadily toward its goal of having a new home.

Recent estimates place the final cost of the facility at $14 million. That’s the amount needed to have a large rehearsal space for the entire marching band, as well as faculty offices, meeting rooms, and adequate storage space for hundreds of musical instruments and Tiger Band uniforms.

Total commitments in gifts and pledges, as well as support from LSU Athletics and the State of Louisiana, now total over $11,250,000. Because of time constraints placed on LSU by the state, we’re moving forward with design and construction plans. Yet we must raise an additional $2.75 million as soon as possible from alumni and friends if we’re to get the complete facility needed by the band department.

Leadership gifts ensure success

The fundraising effort was launched in earnest just over a year ago, at Band Alumni Reunion 2007. In that time we’ve received leadership gift commitments from numerous major donors, as well as the LSU Alumni Association.

Donors can look forward to being honored with their names included in the building that houses the world-famous Golden Band from Tigerland! Opportunities for leadership gifts can be found at the Naming Opportunities page.

A real team effort: Give through LSU Foundation, Alumni Association, TAF

The Tiger Band belongs to all of LSU, and as a result, the University’s three major philanthropic organizations have set up accounts to raise funds for the Band Hall. Donations to each have unique consequences and benefits. Pledges may be established for several years. To make your gift immediately, visit our online donations page here.
